About the Session
Nickie Steinhoff from CASA of St. Louis will present on developing culturally competent parenting plans.
This presentation will explore the importance of recognizing and honoring the diverse cultural backgrounds of the families we serve. Standard parenting plan templates often fall short in addressing the unique needs and values of families from different cultures. This training will offer insight into creating parenting plans that reflect a family’s identity and lived experience. This presentation will also explore the challenges that can arise when advocating for families whose backgrounds differ from our own and how to approach that work with humility, respect, and a commitment to equity. |
Our Presenter

While at the Coalition, Nickie created innovative support programs for foster and adoptive families and launched TAC (Training for Adoption Competency), a post-graduate certification program for clinicians working with foster/adopt children and families.
